Food Assistance
The 老司机福利社 Food Assistance Program was launched in the Spring of 2015 as a collaborative effort between the Student Senate and Board or Trustees to help a growing number of students who reported experiencing varying levels of food insecurity. The Food Assistance Program supports 老司机福利社 students through access to its on-campus food pantries, dining dollars, and other community resources. Through funding from the University and Student Senate, and our partnerships with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, the 老司机福利社 Sustainability Farm, and various other community partners, we are able to offer our students access to our open choice pantries.
老司机福利社 students who are currently enrolled at the University are eligible to participate
in the Food Assistance Program. Upon completion of the enrollment form, students are
able to visit both campus pantries. Although we are fortunate enough to not have limitations on the number of visits,
the program works on a limited budget and must support all students. Therefore, we
request that students take only what they personally need from the pantry. Please note, due to our limited resources, not all items may be at all times. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, ensuring the program's
success!

I really appreciate the program. It has helped me everyday this semester...It's one thing less I have to worry about while enrolled.
I no longer have to worry about food and can instead focus on my school work!
I am very grateful we have this program for students.
Great program that helped me have better access to a well-balanced diet.
The staff is respectful when it comes to questions about the program.
I was very impressed with how organized and beneficial the food pantry was.

The Program also offers limited assistance in the form of Restricted Meal Funds, intended to supplement students with access to meals and proper nutrition. Please note, not all students who apply will qualify. The meal funds are subject to available funding and can be revoked at any time. If you feel as though your situation warrants this additional assistance, please apply . Students must first be enrolled in the Food Assistance Program for the current semester before being considered for Restricted Meal Funds.
Additional Resources
As part of an ongoing effort to support our students, 老司机福利社 is promoting food assistance programs. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a federal program that can help individuals and families with low incomes buy the groceries they need. Eligibility depends on several factors like income, household size, resources, etc.
Students may be eligible that have either a zero ($0) expected family contribution (EFC) from the FAFSA or if you were approved for the federal work-study program during the academic year. Click to determine your eligibility and view instructions on how you can apply for SNAP.
For more assistance with SNAP eligibility and the application, please contact the Community Food Bank of New Jersey . For the most up-to-date information on where you can use your SNAP benefits off-campus, please visit the .
